Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome is a gynaecological issues is the growth of small cysts in the ovaries. The hormones are out of control in women with PCOD. It can affect your periods and causes difficulties in getting pregnant. If not treated it can cause serious health problems like heart disease or diabetes. Weight gain and trouble losing weight, acne, excess hair growth, thinning hair on scalp, irregular periods, depression, and fertility problems are the general symptoms.
Dysmenorrhea
It is the severe pain associated with menstruation. There are two types of dysmenorrhea namely, Primary dysmenorrhea and Secondary Dysmenorrhea. Primary dysmenorrhea is caused by prostaglandins, the hormones that make uterus contract during child birth and menstruation. Secondary dysmenorrhea is caused by many factors such as fibroids, adenomyosis, STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection), endometriosis, ovarian cyst or tumor etc. The main symptom of dysmenorrhea is lower abdominal pain. Other symptoms can be nausea, vomiting, diarrhea etc.
